South Australian Matriculation 2010

South Australian Matriculation 2010.
also more popularly known as SAM.

It was strange how in the beginning of the year I told myself,
"It's only going to be a year. I probably won't miss anyone."
The truth is I kinda miss college. The learning experience is better than high school. I've met some wonderful people there. My lecturers are too cool to be true (Well...my lecturers at least. I feel so lucky. Hehe).
I guess you can say, college opened my eyes a little bit more. And of course, I'm really grateful that I am able to get an education in a renowned college like Taylors.

The subjects I took were; Accounting studies, Economics, English as a Second Language (ESL), Mathematical Studies, and Psychology. It's amazing how college actually makes you want to look forward to classes. Even though sometimes you don't complete your homework...Hehe. However so, the timing maybe be a little screwy sometimes. It usually ends at 3pm or 4pm (Yes. It is very tiring and it takes some getting used to). I was one of the lucky ones who had an alright timetable.

ANYWAYS, moving forward (or backwards?)...

22nd October 2010.
Marks the day where SAM 2010 students officially end their classes.
I shall TRY and explain it in short sentences to TRY and fit in more pictures. No guarantee or your money back.
-We took lots of pictures with friends.
-Went out for a class lunch at 'Papa John's Pizza' (Unfortunately for the first and last time as a whole class, minus some of them who were absent).
-We sorta had 15 minutes of economics classes.
-Everyone was laughing and talking, reminiscing the good fun times we had in college.
-Played 'Hot Seat' (It's a game, not a torture method) and heard ghost stories during ESL.
-I went to the ECA centre for the last rehearsal for prom/corroborree, and we (some of the performers, my lovely committee members and myself)went wild crazy in the ECA auditorium. We were, screaming singing our hearts out to random songs.

And now, time for some pictures!
(hooray for childlike attention span)
Starts from old groupie pictures, to my lovely (but illegal) LIC club, and finally some weird random pictures.
Most of the pictures are stolen from Facebook, unless credited otherwise.

Old groupie pictures of P3.
Class of P3 2010.
Picture stolen from Joanna Yap.

P3 Class Groupie. During Chinese New Year.

Pn Nor's farewell (1st semester economics teacher).
Class groupie of girls +  2 guys. During Psychology at some computer lab.

Moving on to LIC club pictures. If you're wondering what it's about...LIC stands for 'Lunch In Class' [because we eat in class (no duh...) and we're such cheap skates to eat out all the time]. It's NOT an official club (It's actually illegal. Hehe). It consists of 6 people, namely; Alicia, Jeng Mey, Jillian, Joanna, Rachel, and Sheila. And if we ever go out for lunch, it's usually somewhere cheap and reasonable (Madam Joyce Eatery), because like I said...we're cheap skates.

The things I love most about these people is that they mix around with everyone while being an individual at the same time, they are not into cliques, they are all such nice people, absolutely insane (I pretend not to know them sometimes), and they have made college life so much more bearable. To my dear LIC people. This is for you.

LIC Club. From left to right: Alicia, Joanna, Jillian, Jeng, Sheila.
Rachel is missing because she was taking the picture.
We 'tried' to make it like Glee.

Meet Rachel (whom I just realise is wearing my hoodie).
Dodge ball player! She plays pretty well for a small sized girl.

Alicia, Jeng, Jillian Joanna, and a sleeping Sheila.
They just had to.
Personally, I kinda like this picture.
Joanna, Alicia, Jeng, Jillian.
While I was sleeping, they used my phone to take a picture of themselves.
I like this picture as well. All smiles. =)

Here's spotting Alicia, and Rachel with me.

Alicia, Jillian and Jeng. Too cute.
Again...hijacking my phone while I was sleeping.
Our names on the white board.
Erm...It kinda looks like we're marking our territory.

Our scale of desperate line. ;)
An inside joke.

They were too free. Seriously.
Just an fyi, those are Rachel's earrings.

Seeing how there are too many pictures of them, I shall just post a few only. :P (Lick)

FINALLY...Random photo moments.

They may look small in size, but they destroyed that. Vandalism. Tsk tsk.
Haha. I'm kidding. It was already broken, and not because of them.
Does anyone see a shocked face?
Story behind this discovery: I was walking in the park with my brother, and we put our hands behind our head and it looked like an eye in the shadows. Ta dah!
Prom performance committee members. Well...some of them at least.
These people = amazing.
Same people, different poses. <3

Hallway groupie with ESL lecturer, Ms Julianne.
Class groupie! Freestyle. With mentor, Ms Sakun. =)

I would love to go on and on about how my college experience went. But if I did, it would take forever (figuratively) to type and probably read. We may all have our little arguments and squabbles in classes, but at the end of the day, it's good to know that we're still a class. Aww

I know almost none of those I mentioned will read this, but I believe they still deserve some acknowledgement.
To Taylors College. Thank you.
To the lecturers. Thank you for being so patient and being generous enough to share your knowledge. It baffles me how you put up with us. So lucky to get such a wonderful batch of lecturers.
To P3. Thank you for being so awesome and entertaining.
To my parents and siblings. Thank you for funding my college and listen to my rants.
To my readers. Congratulations if you made it this far! Thanks for reading.
Hearts to all of you!

College. The experience, the people I've met, my lecturers, the prom performance committee. I'm definitely going to miss college. :' )

The End.
(Geez...FINALLY!)

p/s: Yes, college has finally ended for me.
p/p/s: Credits go to the respective owners of the pictures. If you don't want your picture to be here, contact me.

Signing off because I don't want it to be SO darn long. XOXO

  2. SheiLa ● Jules:
Yeap everyone did their own art piece and held it up, if you can read it...some of it are pretty amusing. Haha.
Hmm...I actually took it from Joanna's blog. I don't have a higher rez copy of it though... =/
